Jim Redd
Jim was born in Gilroy, California, and grew up in the ranching and farming country of southern Santa Clara County. He spent his youthful summers working on many ranches in both the Santa Clara and Sierra Counties of California. Jim attended Humboldt State University, in northern California, graduating with a degree in Range Management. He began his real estate career in 1978, and is licensed in California and Oregon. Jim has served as President of the Humboldt County Board of Realtors and on various committees at the State and local levels. He has first-hand ranch ownership experience, having owned a small ranch in northern California for 13 years. He has been called upon to provide expert opinion in court land-issue cases and to add his wisdom to local, county and state level development discussions. He is a strong advocate for the rural life. Jim has been a licensed private pilot since 1970, now owning a twin Beech Baron and a single engine Cherokee Six. Both planes are used for transporting clients to and from ranches as well as for aerial overviews of large ranches. He brings to the team his range management degree, extensive flying experience and 36 years of real estate and ranch sales. Jim and his wife, Sharon, have been married 45 years. They are the proud parents of three daughters and have nine grandchildren. He is an avid hunter and fisherman, raced stockcars for many years and enjoys riding Harley motorcycles with Sharon.
